Interview on Spraygraphic

Hey dudes,

Just wrapped up work on a comic book, 40 pages full colour - from roughs to final by yours truly. Yay, I get to reunite with my good buddy SLEEP now! Anyway, looking forward to some downtime and returning to personal art.

Basement 416 in Photoshop Creative Mag

Hey dudes,

Basement416, which is an illustrators collective I'm most fortunate to be a part of,
conducted an interview in Photoshop Creative magazine, Issue 46 out now!

The members are Christina Ung, Rey Ortega, Charlene Chua, Vince Chui and Sanford Kong et moi.

Unfortunately they mispelled my buddy Vince's last name as the same as Charlene's. Perhaps they thought they were married? (Charlene's already taken ;p)

Thanks to Simon Skellon over at Creative Magazine who was a very gentile chap! Charlene, whom I'd say is the 'unspoken' leader of the group (heehee) also did a podcast interview:

She was pretty much the one who hooked us up with the mag too, forever props to Ms. Chua.

MASHUP: a-ha vs. in strict confidence

In keeping with the a-ha theme, this time 'round the Sun Always Shines on TV. I took the cover version from german industrial band In Strict Confidence and put the vocals from the original a-ha version over it. ISC did a nice job updating the music yet retaining an homage quality to it, putting Morten Harket's vocals over it makes it a killer mix me thinks ;)

EDIT: balanced the vocal track more

So I've recently got into mashups, they're so much fun to listen that I had to try it. I'm a super newb (just started this week) but here's my first humble attempt. It's not perfect but you get the general idea. Two great bands, a classic song injected with the new!
